From Santiago to Da Nang

I grew up in Santiago, Chile, with an appetite for meeting people and understanding how they see the world. That curiosity took me across three continents, living in Canada, Germany, and finally Australia, picking up new perspectives and friendships along the way.

Every move taught me the same lesson: the most interesting problems are human ones. Technology is just how I help solve them.

Finding my craft

When I arrived in Australia, I poured everything into data. Visualisation, engineering, infrastructure. I went deep. It paid off: my work took me inside some of the biggest organisations in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

But what kept me coming back wasn't the technology. It was the people. Every new client was a new challenge and a new chance to learn, not just technically, but from their stories, their industries, their way of thinking. I still have fond memories of the people I've worked with over the years.

Where I am now

I recently moved to Da Nang, Vietnam, to be closer to a growing community of builders and AI practitioners. I've joined the local AI community here — attending talks at the AI hub, meeting founders and developers who are building AI applications for the world. That energy is contagious, and it keeps me sharp.

I work remotely and I'm available for contract engagements with teams anywhere in the world. The tools and workflows I use are built for distributed teams, and I've been delivering enterprise work this way for years. Time zones are manageable. The work speaks for itself.

I specialise in AI, but not the kind the industry is selling. I'm not interested in hype, demos, or buzzwords. I build practical AI systems with a focus on privacy, governance, and real measurable outcomes. I'm technically deep, always learning, and I show up with a smile and a genuine interest in getting it right for the people I'm building for.
